The German building material cooperative Eurobaustoff increased its centrally invoiced purchasing volume to € 5.49 bn (+2,27 per cent) in 2014. External sales to the partner companies thus rose to € 13.3 bn. While the wholesale trade only recorded an increase of 0.34 per cent in 2014, the retail arm, timber and tiles fared much better. The highest growth in the retail arm (+10.1 per cent) came in decorative wood, machinery, timber in the garden and hardware. Sales in the wood category (not including timber in the garden, floor/wall/ceiling and timber construction elements) increased by 15.3 per cent, while the tile segment grew sales by 6.34 per cent.
