New boss in Switzerland

The German DIY store chain Hornbach has a new country CEO in Switzerland. Alessandro Pellegrini (44) is to take charge of the business of Hornbach Baumarkt (Schweiz) AG from 1 January 2015, thus putting a Swiss citizen at the helm of the national subsidiary for the first time. Klaus Becker (61), who has been responsible for running the company in Switzerland since Hornbach entered the market there in 2002, is returning to the group’s headquarters.New country boss Alessandro Pellegrini joined the company in 2002, initially as store manager of the store in Etoy. Most recently he held the position of regional manager with joint responsibility for the operational management of all Swiss stores.
