Hornbach plans new store openings abroad

Germany’s Hornbach Group aims to extend its store network to three other countries in 2015. It plans to open a number of outlets in Austria (first new store opens in the spring), the Netherlands (autumn) and Romania. The company will focus mainly on foreign markets with regard to store openings next year, although it is not currently planning to expand beyond the three countries mentioned. Hornbach may also open some new stores in Germany, but it is concentrating its activities here on refurbishing, extending and modernising existing DIY and home improvement stores.
