Downturn in the home market for Kesko

The Finnish Kesko Group reported a significant drop in sales in its domestic DIY store and building materials business in October. The volume of sales declined by 7.7 per cent. In contrast, the group’s sales abroad increased by 5.7 per cent (calculated in euros; in local currencies 8.5 per cent more). At € 238.9 mio, the group’s overall sales in October did not quite attain the level of the previous year (- 0.3 per cent).
