The Italian hose manufacturer Fitt has now acquired the remaining 43 per cent of shares in Spanish manufacturer Melisse, turning it into a wholly owned subsidiary. Melisse has been operating in the Spanish market since 1994 and manufactures hoses from PVC and other thermoplastic material for irrigation and industrial purposes. Its consumer products are sold through traditional speciality stores as well as in DIY store chains such as Leroy Merlin, Aki, Bricoman, Bricor and Bricoking. The company has been headed by Javier Alfaro since 2008. Melisse’s sales are expected to be in the order of € 6 mio this year.
