Two stores in Novosibirsk

Leroy Merlin opened its second store in Novosibirsk at the end of September. The company has invested RUB 1.5 bn (around € 30 mio) in the construction of the new store. Stocking 37 000 products on a retail area of 12 000 m², the new outlet on the right bank of the Ob is bigger than the company’s first store on the left river bank of the western Siberian city.
In spring 2014 Vincent Gentil, the general director of Leroy Merlin Russia, announced the intention of the French DIY chain to virtually triple the number of stores in Russia in the next three years from 28 to 80. According to previous estimates, Leroy Merlin’s sales in Russia in 2013 came to roughly € 1.25 bn.
