The French DIY store group Mr. Bricolage ended the first half of 2014 with sales amounting to € 1.0863 bn. This equates to a decline of 0.4 per cent compared with the same period last year, although like-for-like sales increased by 1.4 per cent. In France, where the sales of distribution channels Mr Bricolage and Les Briconautes, along with associated retailers not under one of these logos, came to € 979.4 mio, the nominal decline was 1.1 per cent. Here too like-for-like sales increased by 1.4 per cent. Stores abroad transacted sales to the tune of € 106.9 mio, thus a 7.0 per cent increase over the first half of 2013, with like-for-like sales rising by 1.7 per cent. The 43 outlets in Belgium enjoyed a particularly good run with sales up 16.9 per cent (like-for-like sales: up 4.6 per cent) to € 62.1 mio.
