Coop Bau + Hobby launch new online shop

As the first Swiss DIY retailer, Coop Bau + Hobby has installed an online store with delivery and collection service. Part of the shop was launched back in July of this year. Coop Bau + Hobby is currently represented with more than 80 shops throughout Switzerland. The company’s online shop offers around 10 000 products. For products that can be delivered by mail, the company claims “ordered today, delivered tomorrow” (by “PostPac Priority”) whereas for heavier, bulky items, there is a home delivery service that delivers the ordered goods to the customer’s home within a few days. An alternative is that products can be ordered online and then be picked up at the local DIY store.
With the new online presence there is now also a service and advice centre on the website. One special feature is: The Bau + Hobby online wood cutting service. The desired type of wood and the personalised cut can now be ordered from home. The DIY operator then delivers the finished customized material to the nearest sales office for pick up. As an additional service, customers can evaluate products and check the availability in the various sales outlets online.
