Obi has had a store in Surgut in western Siberia since the start of September

Obi Russia opened a store in Surgut, western Siberia at the start of September. The new store is the 23rd Obi store in Russia and was unveiled in the presence of local and regional dignitaries. It is the first Obi store in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, a region rich in commodities that also encompasses the neighbouring cities of Nefteyugansk, Khanty-Mansiysk and Nizhnevartovsk.
The new store has an overall retail area of 14 310 m² extending over two floors of a shopping centre. A “garden paradise” is located on 3 500 m² on the upper floor. As is the case everywhere in Russia, 187 staff are on hand daily from 0700-2200 to attend to their customers’ needs virtually round the clock.
