Sales by the French store chain fell by 3.7 per cent in the second quarter

Bricorama’s sales in the second quarter amounted to € 183.3 mio, 3.74 per cent less than in the same period a year ago. The French DIY chain concluded the first half of the year with a drop in sales of 1.48 per cent to € 338.7 mio.
In France, sales declined by 3.35 per cent in the second quarter to € 121.3 mio. In Belgium, the figure was -2.3 per cent and in the Netherlands -6.15 per cent. Despite a decline of 8.24 per cent in Spain, there was a positive trend in like-for-like sales, which rose by 2.3 per cent.
The group has also announced the takeover of nine stores of the Mr Bricolage franchisee GNUVA in south-west France in January 2015.
