Late summer launch in Germany

Screwfix has set the launch of its first
four stores in Germany for “late summer”, according to a press release from its
German head office. Screwfix is a distribution arm of the British DIY group
Kingfisher and sells both to the public and trade customers. The stores stock
around 9 000 products. Customers can preorder goods and collect after five
minutes or buy directly in store. Screwfix guarantees next-day delivery
directly to the workplace or home across Germany on all products in the range.
The opening of the four outlets in the Frankfurt region will create around 100
jobs.
