The British Kingfisher Group finds success in sustainability

Kingfisher has published the “Net Positive Report”, its first sustainability report covering an entire fiscal year, in which the results are measured against previously formulated targets. According to the report, 87 per cent of the timber used in products sold across the group now derives from responsibly managed sources; in its B&Q distribution channel this figure rises to 100 per cent. The company’s projections suggest that customers using Kingfisher’s own brand products have saved GBP 450 million on energy costs. 21 per cent of group sales also stem from eco-products, thus products with a low environmental impact.
