“DIY in my blood”

A highlight of the 3rd European Home Improvement Forum in Madrid was the presentation of the 3rd European DIY Lifetime Award to Ray Colman the former CEO of Woodie's DIY. The award ceremony took place during the Congress gala dinner in the Bernabéu stadium in Madrid. “DIY is in my blood”, avowed Colman in a very personal acceptance speech. The eulogy for the winner was held by Carl-Otto Løvenskiold, CEO and owner of the Løvenskiold group. He strongly emphasised Colman’s bond with the DIY sector in his 46 year long career, describing him as “one of the friendliest personalities in the DIY industry”.
