The French franchise group Mr. Bricolage has increased its sales in the first quarter compared to the same period last year by 2.2 per cent to € 498.3 mio. On a like-for-like sales basis it was a four per cent increase. However 0.1 percentage points of growth can be accredited to online sales, which rose by 17.4 per cent to € 3.7 mio. The five stores under the L’entrepôt du bricolage brand are no longer taken into account; Mr. Bricolage gave them up in March 2014 backdated to January 2014. Domestic sales have seen an increase of 1.2 per cent to € 447.7 mio whereas international sales were considerably higher. Here the group reached a plus of 10.5 per cent to € 46.9 mio. Sales have picked up especially in Belgium (plus 21.5 per cent, like-for-like plus 8.9 per cent) and the Netherlands (like-for-like plus 2.1 per cent).
