The Australian DIY retailing chain increases turnover by twelve percent

The DIY retailing chain Bunnings has recorded a turnover of AUD 2.086 bn in the third quarter of their financial year from January to March. That is 12.3 per cent more - like-for-like sales of 9.1 per cent more – than in the same period last year. The combined turnover of the first three quarters amounts to AUD 6.516 bn and therefore eleven per cent more than in the same period last year. Bunnings has opened four stores since the beginning of the year and at the cut-off period on 31st March, had 221 large warehouse format DIY stores, 64 smaller DIY stores and 34 builders’ merchants. There are currently 16 more stores under construction.
