Mr Bricolage has a new master franchise partner in Africa. The French DIY group and the Yeshi Group have made an agreement to build a DIY market network in the Ivory Coast, Congo, Gabon and Senegal. The goal is to open five stores in five years. Overall a potential nine stores have been recognised. The first store should open in 2015. The four countries together have 40 million inhabitants. Due to the development of a middle class and the emergence of new consumer habits, Mr Bricolage recognises an important market here. The Yeshi Group, founded in 1979 in the Ivory Coast is located in eight African countries. It is active, not only in the business segments of raw material processing and construction but also in the wholesale and retail of goods such as hardware, tools and electrical domestic appliances in thirteen stores in five countries (except for the ones already mentioned in Cameroon). The turnover is said to be more than € 300 mio and the number of employees to be more than 2 000.
