Four per cent growth for Homebase

Homebase, a British DIY chain, increased sales by 4.1 per cent to a volume of GBP 1.489 bn in the recently completed 2013/2014 financial year (to 1 March 2014). The result came to 5.9 per cent in like-for-like terms. The chain’s sales area contracted by 1.8 per cent. At present there are 323 Homebase stores. The DIY chain, which is part of the Home Retail Group, recorded sales of GBP 203 mio from January to February, which amounted to growth of 6.9 per cent.
