Kesko suffers clear fall in annual sales

The Finnish Kesko Group reports sales of some € 2.6674 bn for its building materials and DIY division in the year 2013. Calculated in euros, that is 8.0 per cent less than in the previous year. Sales of € 1.2028 bn in Finland were around 4.7 per cent down, while sales of € 1.4646 bn in the group’s foreign stores were around 10.6 per cent down. Here the main deciding factor was the Byggmakker chain, which belongs to the Kesko Group and now has fewer stores in operation.
