Withdrawal already begun

A start has already been made on Obi’s withdrawal from Ukraine. The Obi store in the Ukrainian city of Odessa is being taken over by Epicentr. The Ukrainian market leader is said to have purchased certain parts of the stock, while the remainder is being offered in a clearance sale running from mid-December to 14 February 2014. Reports in the media suggest that the building is to be handed over on 15 February. Plans for terminating Obi’s involvement in Ukraine were announced only at the end of last year.
