Acquisition of Earlex Ltd

Wagner, a group specialising in surface cleaning solutions and technologies that is based in Altstätten, Switzerland, has acquired Earlex Ltd, a medium-sized company headquartered in Guildford, England. The products in the Earlex range include HVLP paint spray guns, wallpaper strippers and hot air guns, which are mainly targeted at the DIY sector. The idea is that Earlex’s product portfolio will prove complementary to the Wagner Group’s consumer business. Wagner manufactures a range of spray painting and powder coating equipment and systems for treating surfaces with different kinds of liquid materials. The company’s technologies are used by DIYers as well as tradesmen and industry. The other companies in the Earlex Group up to now, Ewbank with its products for the floor cleaning business and Clarke Cable with its cable solutions business, will remain in the hands of their current owners, the Baseley and Hopper families.
