The world’s biggest producer of furniture is China. This country has a 25 per cent share of overall production. The USA comes second with 15 per cent. Italy follows in third place as the first European country; its share of global production amounts to eight per cent. Germany has just one percentage point less, putting it in fourth place. These figures come from the association of the German furniture industry. France, Britain, Japan, Canada and Poland have three per cent each, Brazil has two and Vietnam one per cent.
