It is being said that there is a potential buyer for the 19 Praktiker stores in Hungary. The Pester Lloyd newspaper reports with reference to business circles that the Hungarian MPF holding company of so-called “Oligarch” Zsolt Felcsúti, whose family owns a majority stake in this group of companies, is interested in the Hungarian stores of the insolvent German DIY group. The MPF Group was founded in 1976 and operates in the fields of wholesaling and logistics, as well as in the production of furniture, abrasives, automotive tools, construction chemicals and heating technology. It has subsidiaries in China and the USA, and elsewhere as well. According to the report, Zsolt Felcsúti had previously hoped to acquire the Bricostore outlets in Hungary.
