Bauhaus moves into the Netherlands

Bauhaus’s market entry into the Netherlands is on the cards for next year. The German DIY retailer will be opening its first Netherlands branch in Groningen during the fourth quarter of 2014. The store has a weighted total retail area of 18 000 m², which includes a garden centre and a 5 000 m² drive-in. Apart from new developments in both Germany and current growth countries, the company is also working on entering the market in Bosnia-Herzegovina with a first store in Sarajevo.
