The insolvent German Praktiker Group has sold the 62 per cent stake it held in Bâtiself S.A. to C. W. A. Sàrl of Luxembourg, a building store specialist. The activities of this company, which was founded in 1991, include operating eight building trade stores under the name of Bati C in Luxembourg and France. The remaining 38 per cent of shares in Bâtiself are held by Luxembourg businessmen. There was already talk in the summer that the three Praktiker stores with their workforce of around 170 were up for sale. There are also ongoing discussions with investors on the subject of the other international businesses that are included in Praktiker’s insolvent foreign holding company.
