Maxeda closes with a drop in sales

The Netherlands Maxeda DIY Group announced net sales of € 1.309 bn in its 2012/2013 financial year (February to January); that was 3.8 per cent down on the previous year. Sales in The Netherlands were 5.3 per cent lower, and 1.6 per cent down in like-for-like terms in Belgium. At the end of the financial year the group had 370 DIY stores in operation in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, or seven more than one year previously.
