Sales of Woodie’s DIY, an Irish chain, fell by 3.4 per cent to € 94.9 mio in the first six months. The decline is being attributed to the closure of two stores in the second half of 2012; in like-for-like terms the company is still on last year’s level, according to an interim report from Grafton Group, the parent company. After the conversion of three stores to a new format last year, three more stores were converted in 2013 as well.
