New plant fair in India

The IPM International Plant Fair is acquiring a subsidiary event in India. Floratec-IPM India is to be held in Bangalore from 22 to 24 August 2014. A declaration to this effect has been signed by Egon Galinnis, managing director of the German organising company Messe Essen, and M. B. Naqvi, CEO of their future partner Media Today of Delhi. Media Today is said to be India’s biggest media group. It has long been involved in the organisation of trade fairs, as well as the publication of trade magazines. Bangalore is the capital of Karnataka, a state with a population of 50 mio and the largest area devoted to agricultural and horticultural production in India as a whole. The organisers expect that the cultivation of agricultural crops and ornamental plants will receive strong governmental support in the future.
