Four dominant in Canada

At the end of 2011 there were four DIY retailers dominating the Canadian do-it-yourself market

At the end of 2011 four trading companies shared over 50 per cent of the Canadian do-it-yourself market between them. This information comes from the Hardlines Annual Retail Report. It reveals that Rona is the market leader in Canada with a market share of 15.2 per cent, followed by Home Depot (13.1 per cent), Home Hardware (12.3 per cent) and Canadian Tire (12.1 per cent). The remaining market participants share 47.2 per cent of the sales total.
