Sodimac goes to Uruguay

Two stores are to be opened in the Montevideo conurbation in 2014

Sodimac, the DIY store division of the Chilean retail group Falabella, is expanding into Uruguay. Two stores are expected to open under the Homecenter banner in the Montevideo conurbation in the second half of 2014. The company is investing US $ 40 mio in the venture. According to information from Enrique Gundermann, CEO of Sodimac, two more outlets are expected to follow by 2016.
