Sales growth for Clas Ohlson

Clas Ohlson, a Swedish chain, increased its sales volume by four per cent in the 2012/2013 financial year

The Swedish chain Clas Ohlson recorded a sales volume of SEK 6.519 bn in the 2012/2013 financial year (1 May to 30 April), which amounts to an increase of four per cent on the previous year’s result (SEK 6.260 bn). There was growth in all four countries where the company operates: three per cent to SEK 3.028 bn in Sweden, four per cent to SEK 2.665 in Norway, and four per cent as well to SEK 263 mio in Britain. The strongest sales growth was in Finland: nine per cent to SEK 563 mio. The trading group now has 174 stores in operation, 17 more than just a year ago. Between 12 and 17 new openings are planned for the current financial year.
