Europe’s gardeners willing to invest

More than half of all Europeans have a garden. Around 40 per cent of garden owners are considering investing in their garden over the next six months. The European average here is € 380, a sum that includes contracting out work to a professional as well. This figure varies considerably in the 13 countries surveyed by USP within the framework of the European Home Improvement Monitor, however. It is highest in Italy and Germany, while Britain and Poland are bottom of the list. The findings of the survey indicate an overall volume of € 15 bn that Europeans intend to invest in their gardens during the current season.
