Seventh store in Turkey

Baumax, the Austrian DIY retailer, has opened its seventh store in Turkey. The outlet is located in Eskişehir, a university town in Anatolia with a population of more than 600 000. The sales area amounts to 11 000 m². The company points in particular to its services for private shoppers and facilities for trade customers. A special customer card is on offer for professionals, and they also have separate entrance and checkout areas. Specially trained members of staff are available to them, as well as mobile project consultants who actually visit their building sites. Baumax has been in the country since 2010, and says its experience there has been most positive. It also says that more than 75 per cent of the suppliers come from the local region.
