First Ace in Irak

The opening of an Ace Hardware store in Irak is imminent. The location in Erbil, in the north of the country between Kirkuk and Mosul, is due to start operating in mid-May. The franchisee is the Dubai-based Mettco Group. The store, which has a sales area of some 4 000 m², is intended to attract both trade professionals and end consumers with a typical DIY store range that includes international brands and products. The opening of the store has been delayed by more than a year. The franchise agreement was concluded as long ago as 2011. The company would like to open up other locations in other cities, depending on the security situation.
