K-rauta now has an outdoor garden department in Moscow

Rautakesko, the building materials and DIY division of the Finnish Kesko Group, has opened its 15th K-rauta store in Russia. It is the chain’s third outlet in the Greater Moscow area and is located in Mytishi. Here for the first time the company’s plans included an outdoor area for garden products right from the start. This resulted from observing a trend towards garden enhancement in Russia, alongside the strong tradition of cultivating a kitchen garden. A share of some 3 500 m² of the total sales area of 8 000 m² is given over to this section. The company intends to achieve annual sales of € 800 mio in Russia by the year 2017.
