Public both national and international

The Ferroforma/Bricoforma event held in Bilbao, Spain, from 12 – 15 March 2013 attracted some 13 000 trade visitors from 61 countries. That is about 3 000 fewer than two years ago. The organisers coordinated groups of visitors from 39 countries. The Spanish buying groups, cooperatives and retail chains were all fully represented, according to the official report. The 362 exhibitors from the categories of hardware, DIY and industrial supplies – some 600 were registered in 2011 – came from 26 countries. Industrial and building supplies represented the most significant product range here, accounting for a share of 31 per cent. Hand tools, electrical equipment and woodworking machines had a share of 25 per cent. Other product categories on view were locks and fittings (eleven per cent), hardware and housewares (ten per cent), climate control, decoration, electrical and garden (nine per cent), fasteners (six per cent), in addition to services and store fittings.
