Last year saw the 700 German and Austrian outlets within the Zeus Group’s system, of which Hagebaumarkt is the main sales format, increase their net sales by 1.9 per cent to € 2.29 bn. The 292 German Hagebaumarkt outlets, which recorded growth of 2.6 per cent, accounted for € 1.47 bn of the total. The 44 Austrian Hagebaumarkt stores saw an increase of 3.6 per cent to € 197 mio; there was also like-for-like growth here. Six new Hagebaumarkt stores opened over the course of the year. In January 2013 the Hagebaumarkt stores in Germany grew their net sales by 1.1 per cent on the same month last year, while those in Austria saw growth of 7.7 per cent.
