Gain for Soyuz

The Stroy Depot DIY chain is a new member of the Russian buying group Soyuz (“Union”), which was founded last year. “It is in our interest to achieve more favourable buying prices both with Russian and western suppliers through this DIY union,” commented owner Grigori Koshemjakin. “What is more, membership will open up possibilities for us to include regional suppliers that we haven’t previously worked with, though representatives of the union are familiar with them.” Stroy Depot has twelve large-format DIY stores in ten medium-sized cities in central Russia, making it one of the best-known local companies in the Russian DIY marketplace.
