According to information from the "Wirtschaftsblatt", Obi is paring down its DIY chain headquarters in Vienna. The German DIY retailer plans to make 33 employees there redundant, which means getting rid of one in six of its total workforce of 206. The report says that Obi's German parent company is ordering the buying, administration and management levels back to Germany. The Viennese subsidiary is currently responsible for the retailer's branches in Austria and part of eastern Europe.
