The “DIY Forum” is a congress that is to be held in 2013 within the framework of Mosbuild, a Russian trade fair. The event, which is scheduled to take place on 3 April, will deal with the development of and prospects for DIY retailing and the market for building materials and structural elements. The organising company ITE expects more than 300 participants representing DIY chains, manufacturers and suppliers, international organisations and market observers. Info-Line, a market research agency, is a partner in the venture. Its contribution will involve presenting the market figures from the DIY market, including a rating of the retail chains and of the manufacturers.The forum will be divided into three thematic blocks. The first will concern itself with DIY trading chains and the development of the market for building and DIY products. In the second block the speakers will go into the question of whether consumers are prepared to pay for brands in the DIY sector. The third block will concentrate on efficient methods of cooperation between producers, suppliers and buyers.Mosbuild is staged on two exhibition sites, Expocentre and V.V.C. in Moscow. It is divided into three segments, “Building and Interiors”, “Fenestration” (both from 2 – 5 April) and “Cersanex” (tiles and bathrooms, 16 – 19 April). The 2012 event featured 2 298 exhibitors from 45 countries on an exhibition space of 148 438 m² and attracted more than 100 000 visitors from 64 countries.
