Restructuring for Baumax

Michael Hürter, who joined the Austrian DIY market leader Baumax only in July, has now taken on overall responsibility for the operational DIY retail business. Hans-Jörg Greimel has taken his departure from the board. Thomas Marx is the new country director Austria; he will at the same time have responsibility for procurement, both for Austria and the international business. Marija Politsch-Pangerc, up to now the head of buying at Baumax in Slovenia, will in future be responsible for the building and tools product range. Werner Moser, who previously held this remit, has left the company.At the BHB DIY Retail Congress in Berlin Martin Essl, who remains CEO of Baumax, said that a company restructuring programme is to be put into practice with immediate effect. He affirmed that the family remains fully behind the company.
