Lowe’s, the home improvement chain that is number two in America and the world, concluded the third quarter of its fiscal year (to 2 November 2012) with sales of US $ 12.073 bn. That is 1.9 per cent up on the previous year. In like-for-like terms the chain achieved an increase of 1.8 per cent, both within the USA and when including the stores in Canada and Mexico. The cumulative total sales of the first three quarters rose by 2.3 per cent compared with last year to US $ 39.475 bn. In like-for-like terms there was an overall increase of 1.3 per cent, and of 1.4 per cent in the USA.
