Epicentr K is planning to expand its network of branches over the years from 2013 on into some of the CIS states, preferably Russia, Belarus, Georgia and Moldavia. Other European countries are being targeted over and above these. Having officially opened its first branch in December 2003, Epicentr K currently has six stores in the capital Kiev and 30 stores elsewhere in the country. As has already been reported, Epicentr intends to open fourteen more stores before the end of 2012 and so achieve a total of 50 branches.In 2011 Epicentr grew its sales by around one-third to 14.1 bn hryvnia (approx. € 1.3 bn) and intends to further increase them to 19 bn hryvnia (approx. € 1.8 bn) in 2012. That would amount to an increase of just under 35 per cent.
