Withdrawal from Hungary

The Austrian DIY franchisor DFH (Dienstleistungs- und Vertriebssysteme für den Handel) has withdrawn from Hungary, where it had established the Kerrend systems head office with a Hungarian partner at the end of 2008. DFH is a joint subsidiary company of Quester, an Austrian builders’ merchant, and the German NBB franchise group, which runs the Bauspezi trading format, among its other activities. DFH operates under the Bauprofi banner in Austria. The economic and political situation in Hungary is cited as the reason for the company’s withdrawal.
