Green expansion abroad

Dähne Verlag has learned that the number of foreign outlets of German garden centre operators rose by 28 to 633 in 2011, a percentage increase of 3.9 per cent. In December 2011, 14 German garden centre operators were active in a total of 24 countries. Obi and Bauhaus are the front-runners with regard to the number of countries outside Germany in which they are represented, namely twelve. Obi has the most garden centres abroad by far (223), followed by Baywa (93) and Praktiker (88).
