Consolidated sales experienced growth of 16.4 per cent compared to the second quarter of 2011

The Canadian Tire Corporation has published its sales figures for the second quarter that ended on 30 June 2012. By comparison with the comparable period in 2011 they reveal consolidated sales growth of 16.4 per cent to around US $ three bn, a result that is partly because the sales revenue of a large sports retailer has been taken into account. The group result shows an increase of 26.4 per cent to US $ 133.7 mio. “All in all we had a very strong quarter with solid sales revenue, dynamic strength and increased margins in the consumer business,” said Stephen Wetmore, president and CEO of the Canadian Tire Corporation.
