Like-for-like growth as well for the Swedish company in the first half-year

Byggmax, a Swedish DIY retailer, increased its sales in the first six months of 2012 by 11.1 per cent to SEK 1.4094 bn year-on-year. Sales in terms of comparable store numbers grew by 2.9 per cent. Growth in the second quarter came to 6.5 per cent for a total of SEK 958.0 mio. The four new stores opened between April and June contributed to this growth, whereas the existing stores’ sales figures fell by 1.9 per cent. Byggmax now has 92 outlets altogether in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
