Eurobuy gets a new boss

Eurobuy, an international buying cooperative, is getting a new managing director. Moreover it is aiming to take on more partners. From 1 July Peer de Lange, 46, will succeed Peter Gardeler as head of this cooperative venture between three DIY retail groups: Baumax (Austria), Coop Bau + Hobby (Switzerland) and Rautakesko (Finland). Peer de Lange has had many years of experience in the DIY industry, most recently as managing director of ZES (Zentrale Einkaufsservice), the buying subsidiary of Baywa, a German cooperative. Eurobuy’s parent companies together achieve total sales of some € 5.5 bn.
