Building materials as well as locks and security are to be separate segments at the CIHS fair

This year’s China International Hardware Show (CIHS) in Shangahi will be augmented by two additional exhibition segments: the China International Building Hardware Show and the China International Locks & Security Show. Moreover, there are to be three special exhibition areas for the following themes: processing and manufacturing equipment, protective products, and abrasives and grinding. The organisers – the German exhibition company Koelnmesse and the China National Hardware Association – are expecting a ten per cent increase in attendance figures. Last year the total number of visitors came to more than 41 000. The fair is due to run from 19 to 21 September 2012 and is expected to feature 2 400 exhibitors, while the exhibition space will amount to some 110 000 m².
