A change in management lies ahead for Holzland, a German specialist timber merchanting cooperative. The contract of managing director Thomas A. Baur is due to run out on 31 December 2012. The supervisory board has already signed up Andreas Ridder, most recently managing director of Osmo Holz und Color, as his successor. Baur has been Holzland’s managing director since 2003. It is hoped that, among other things, the process of internationalisation will continue to move forward under Ridder. Apart from Germany the cooperative also has partners with businesses in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and France.
