It has been announced that the executive level centred on CEO Ian Cheshire is also to be remodelled in the course of the reorganisation of Kingfisher, the British DIY retailer, which involves the structural combination of the UK business with its foreign companies to form an integrated trading group. One position will be superfluous as a result: there will no longer be any CEO, Kingfisher International, which is why Peter Hogsted will be leaving the company at some time during the year. In addition to being responsible for France and Spain Philippe Tible, currently CEO, Kingfisher France, will take on the management of business in Poland and Russia as well in his capacity as Divisional CEO, Castorama & Brico Dépôt. Euan Sutherland, currently CEO UK & Irelnd, is to be Chief Operating Officer with responsibility throughout the group for the common product lines of the different trading formats and for “Eco” business. He will also be responsible for IT, real estate and personnel. He will continue to run Screwfix, including the multi-channel activities that have been promoted throughout the group. Kevin O’Byrne, currently Group Finance Director, is to be Divisional CEO for B&Q and so responsible for these channels of distribution in the UK and China. He will also have responsibility for the joint venture in Turkey and for the strategic alliance with the German DIY retailer Hornbach. A new candidate is to be found for the position of Group Finance Director.
